The Service Desk nowadays provides a vital role as central point of contact between the customer and the IT organization. It starts with providing services of a typical Help Desk, including the ability to process incidents, problems, enquiries, change and service requests. The Service Desk also acts as the 'front door' into an organization where quality service is delivered.
